Thursday Things Vol. 10
This work week got off to a rocky start when my anxiety showed up in full force on Tuesday. It was a bummer because we had a really nice Memorial Day weekend as a family. Thankfully, after writing and spending some time with my family, I’m feeling more grounded and steady now.
Here are a few things I’m liking this week.
Product of the Week
I’m possibly the last person in the world to try Batiste, but I should’ve done it a long time ago. Hot damn, it’s effective. It comes flying out of that aerosol can like a bat out of hell and I yelp every time. (My husband can confirm this.) Once you get past that, it’s a great product. I’ve tried a bunch of different dry shampoos and Batiste gave me three days without shampooing—and I worked out every day in that time too.
Recipe of the Week
I make this one-pan salmon about once a month. My husband and I love it. Our kids are not quite there yet, but blame that on their picky palates, not the quality of this recipe. It’s super easy, very filling and full of nourishing, healthy ingredients.
Song of the Week
Overrated by Gavin DeGraw is an oldie but a goodie. The build in the last 60 seconds is great when you’re driving.
Read of the Week
I love No Sidebar, a minimalism blog by Joshua Becker. This week, he shared “12 Simple Quotes to Help You Design a Meaningful Life.” Good stuff in here, people.
