Thursday Things Vol. 13

Somehow it’s been more than three weeks since I’ve posted anything here. This might be the longest stretch ever. I’ve still been writing every day for other projects at work and otherwise, but it feels nice to be back here in my own space. How about some Thursday Things?

Venn Diagram of the Week

I concede this is an odd category, but for a long time, this has been my favorite Venn diagram. (Don’t get me started on this show. It had it’s bright moments but in general I wasn’t a fan.)

It’s now been replaced by this one.

Show of the Week

Lately when I’ve been writing at night (long after T and the kiddos have gone to sleep) I’ve been rewatching Jane the Virgin. I fell in love with this show when it first premiered years ago but forgot just how many plot twists it includes! It’s fun to revisit the show and remember how torn I’ve always felt between Michael and Rafael.

Project of the Week

We are hosting Thanksgiving brunch with my mom’s family in just a few weeks… and we sold all of our dining room furniture on a whim a few months ago. I’ve spent the last few weeks coming up with a plan and I think we might be in good shape. 

This plan involved lugging an incredibly heavy solid table base through our neighborhood and spray painting another table in our front yard. (Yes, our neighbors saw this and no, I don’t want to know what they think of us.)

Once things are a little closer to finalized, I’ll share some photos. I’m trying to do this on a seriously tight budget so if we can pull it off, I’ll be thrilled.
